Global pandemic 2020
Coronavirus Scenarios (COVID-19)
I've always been curious about the way we shop. I'm excited about brands. Developing uniqueness has always been my ambition. But recently we've seen people panic-buying with empty shelves as global markets go bad to worse beyond the global financial crisis of 2008. We have been hit hard with an invisible enemy. Once this pandemic is over - the world will never be the same for some long years. Life with normal things are about to change quickly.
Things are changing every two to three days and we all need to respond speedily to new problems, we need to be flexible. We need to work but in a different way. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic remains significant globally. Working in the fashion industry significantly has been a moment to try and understand the future and to learn in improving things. Things will not radically change. There will be changes in the way design fashion collections will be presented, and perhaps journalists and brands will travel less, although that remains to be seen, but design fashion is creative and it must remain so and it must be protected. This is what differentiates us from other sectors. Will we need fast fashion any faster?
In the short term, in six months, we will see a bit of everything but there are many opportunities and ways to reshape how we live. It's too easy to say afterwards what could have been done before but nothing like this has ever happened. This is the biggest crisis after World War 2. Who could have ever been prepared for something like this?
